The Art of Cane Processing
Overview
Buying cane that is already gouged and shaped is a great way to start learning to make reeds because it simplifies the process (believe it or not…) allowing you to focus on just getting a reed tied on correctly and getting it to play. However, at some point you may want to start learning to process your own cane because there are many cane processing variables that affect the outcome of your reed.
