Telemann Fantasias

A little bit about Telemann:

Georg Phillip Telemann was a highly prolific composer writing music in the Baroque period which is roughly between 1600-1750. He wrote both secular and sacred works and was the music director of five major churches in Hamburg. He was almost entirely self-taught!

The Twelve Fantasias:

The Twelve Fantasias were originally written for flute, but oboe players have been using them as studies for years! The collection is arranged by key. Although they are written for a solo player, sometimes they sound as if they are polyphonic (having two lines) because of how they are written.
